Slain Cagayan soldier chose Mindanao over UN peacekeeping post

TUGUEGARAO CITY—The rest of the parts of 2Lt. Ernan Energy, one of the 15 officers slaughtered by the criminal bundle Abu Sayyaf in Sulu on Aug. 29, were returned to Alcala town in Cagayan domain on Saturday.

The Armed force official picked Mindanao over an offer to join the Unified Countries peacekeeping force, said the warrior's relative Teresita Bartolome who stays in Alcala's Calantac town.

Energy's decision to drop the UN work for Mindanao where he was butchered in battle "has been hurting us a ton," she said.

Charito said she last got notice from her life partner through a text a week prior, teaching her that he would return to Cagayan in October to commend their kid's birthday.

Energy went to Alcala in June when he was doled out rapidly at the Military of the Philippines focal station in Camp Aguinaldo.

Enthusiasm's box was first brought to San Isidro town in Isabela on Friday to be with his people before it was transported to Alcala where he would be secured.

At Masin town there, the Philippine standard of the Armed force's seventeenth Infantry Brigade was raised at half-staff.

Lt. Col. Rimbert Baylosis, seventeenth IB pioneer, said they lamented for Energy and were set up to join warriors in Mindanao and restore peace there.
