Drilon admits receiving P100M from pork, says he put it to good use

Representative Franklin Drilon conceded Sept 2013, that he got extra pork barrel worth P100 million from the Payment Increasing speed Arrange (DAP), yet said he put it to great utilize. 

"The P100 million, I got that… I asked for that store under the DAP of the administration so [Iloilo] would have extra foundation for tourism to support our chance to have the 2015 [annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Monetary Cooperation]," he said in a radio meeting. 

The Previous Senate President said that the DAP was presented in 2011 in light of the fact that the legislature was being scrutinized for under-spending. 

"This is from the DAP which was made in light of reactions by business analysts that the administration was underspending. Spending was frail that is the reason the [gross local product] around then was low, at 3.6 percent against our objective of 6 to 7 percent," he said. 

Drilon said that the store was coordinated to the Branch of Open Works and Interstates for usage directly after it was discharged. 

"Congressperson Jinggoy [Estrada] himself said that it was not a pay off. In the event that it was utilized to impact [the indictment trial of previous Boss Equity Renato Crown last year], there is no rationale to discharging it after the trial and conviction of Crown," he said. 

Estrada after Crown's arraignment, said congresspersons were paid 50 million in assets.
